FAQs

I read an article that someone had been convicted of pocessing a class A drug, what is a class A drug?
Classification Drugs are separated into three categories or classifications in terms of how strong and potentially harmful they may be. Class A: These include cannabis oil, cocaine and crack (a form of cocaine), ecstasy, heroin, LSD, methadone, processed magic mushrooms and any Class B drug which is injected. These are deemed by law to be the most dangerous, and so using or buying/selling them is seen as a more serious offence than with the lower class drugs. Class B: These include amphetamine, barbiturates, cannabis (in resin or herbal form) and codeine. Cannabis (resin and herbal form) will move to Class C in the near future, but will remain illegal. Class C: These include mild amphetamines, anabolic steroids and minor tranquillisers.
