City-centre based Urban Exchange (Preston) Limited is part of a multi-agency young people's centre designed to respond to the varied needs of young people in Preston by offering support, advice and information.
Urban Exchange runs the Axess project. This project provides a drop-in and outreach service for disadvantaged young people. The following posts are available fixed initially until 31st March 2009.
Project Worker (2 x 37hrs/wk)
£16,621 to £18,525
To work with the Project Manager to deliver detached outreach, one-to-one support and centre-based information and advice to young people. If you have experience of working with disadvantaged young people and / or a Youth and Community Studies degree or equivalent then we would like to hear from you.
Project Worker (occasional sessions)
£16,621 to £18,525 (pro rata)
To work with the Axess team to deliver a detached outreach information and advice service to young people on a sessional basis. If you have experience of working with disadvantaged young people and / or a Youth and Community Studies degree or equivalent then we would like to hear from you. Sessions will be available on an as and when basis and will mainly be in the evening.
